Teaching a coffee machine to become part of a connected ecosystem.
Nunc was one of the projects that made me appreciate how complicated a simple product can become.
The goal was to connect the coffee experience. That meant hardware, mobile applications, cloud infrastructure, AI and machine learning, payments, e-commerce, logistics, and different parts of the coffee value chain.
I worked on the mobile application, the IoT architecture, the cloud infrastructure, and the AI and machine learning components.
The interesting part was not just building an app. It was making software and hardware work together in a way that could eventually become part of someone's daily ritual. When the thing you build has to sit on a counter and actually work every morning, the standard goes up.
I write about the decisions, tools, experiments, and lessons that do not always make it into the final product.
That includes AI, software, startups, and the messy parts of building.
